Cyberpunk 2077 2.5, mod.io ile PS5 ve Xbox'a mod getiriyor

CD PROJEKT RED released Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5, which it calls the Edgerunners 2 Update, on October 22 for PC, Mac (Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to the official announcement. Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version get it "in the days to follow". The update is free, and it lands two days after the anime it is named for: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a 10-episode series from studio TRIGGER, premiered on Netflix on October 20, the date CD PROJEKT RED announced in August.

Mods in the menu, on consoles too

The headline change for anyone who builds content is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io. CD PROJEKT RED describes it as "a first step into cross-platform modding" that lets players "browse and install a selection of player-created mods directly from the in-game menu", with more mods added over time. It is listed for PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.

• It is a selection, not an open workshop. The announcement promises "a selection" of mods that grows over time; it does not say how mods are chosen or whether any modder can submit one.
• Modded saves are marked. They get a dedicated icon in the Load Game menu.
• Console trophies stop. Achievements and trophies "cannot be earned while playing on console from a modded save file".

For UEFN creators it is a useful comparison. Fortnite's model lets creators publish whole islands of their own once they pass Epic's review, while Cyberpunk's first console step hands players a short, managed list inside an existing single-player game. Both put player-made content into a console menu; how much control the platform keeps over what appears there is the difference.

What else is in 2.5

• Clampdown, a side quest set before Edgerunners 2. It unlocks after The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then a message from her, and adds a five-piece gear set based on King plus the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station, per Game Rant.
• Welcome to Paradise, a guided tour of the city narrated by Richard Night, unlocked after The Heist at Street Cred 15.
• 12 new Minor Arcana tarot cards that extend the Fool on the Hill quest, with a reward for collecting all of them.
• Double Trouble, a new perk in the Cool tree with four auxiliary perks, for dual-wielding Power pistols and revolvers.
• Quality of life: saves grouped by playthrough, item filters in apartment and vehicle stashes, and an FOV slider on consoles.

On PC the update adds DLSS 4.5, including up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, and removes FSR 3 upscaling; FSR 2.1, FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation remain, according to DSOGaming and Game Rant. Players who relied on FSR 3 upscaling will need to pick one of the remaining options.
