Snoop Dogg becomes a free Hitman target for one month, starting today
IO Interactive's The Herbalist mission is playable free from 27 August to 26 September, in the full game and in the free demo, with Snoop Dogg and his son Cordell both appearing.

Hitman World of Assassination opens a new Elusive Target today. The Herbalist puts Agent 47 on Dr. Cyrus Cane — played by Snoop Dogg — at the Haven Island location, and IO Interactive says it is playable for free in game and via the Free Demo (IO Interactive). The window runs 27 August to 26 September 2026, and the announcement went out on 25 August.
What is in the mission
- Target: Dr. Cyrus Cane, an entrepreneur whose newest venture is a cookie brand heading for a worldwide launch.
- Location: Haven Island — you need access to that map to play it.
- A franchise first: Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell C. Broadus, appears as a party guest with his own likeness and voice work, the first father-and-son pairing in the series.
- Platforms: PS5, PS4, PSVR2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, ROG Xbox Ally X and Ally, PC and PC VR, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Macs.
Free mission, paid pack
The Elusive Target itself costs nothing. Sold alongside it from the same day is The Herbalist Pack at $7.99, which IO describes as permanent access to arcade contracts, assignments, cosmetics and weapons — including The Entrepreneur Fur Coat and The Hustler Tracksuit (Worthplaying). The split is the point: the timed event is the hook, the cosmetics are the transaction.
It arrives with a roadmap, not alone
IO published a Season of the Herbalist roadmap around the reveal: two new challenges — *Bloom Where You Are Planted* on Ambrose Island and *Fortune Favors the Bald* at the GAMA Private Hospital in Hokkaido — plus Twitch Drops for a Purple Streak Proximity Explosive and Green Grapes. A one-month window, a celebrity crossover, a free entry point and a paid cosmetic bundle is a shape Fortnite players will recognise immediately; the difference is that Hitman hangs it on a single mission rather than a season.
Moments like this are what keep Agent 47's world feeling fresh after all these years.
One practical note before the window closes on 26 September: the mission is gated on having Haven Island available, so check that first rather than on the last weekend.
