Fortnite Sidekicks get UEFN NPC support, publishing opens July 23
Epic says Sidekicks can now be scripted as NPCs in UEFN, with island publishing scheduled to begin on July 23.

Epic’s June 5, 2026 post, Build Worlds, Build Bonds: Fortnite Sidekicks Now Available as NPCs for Your Islands, says Sidekicks are now available as scriptable NPCs in UEFN. Epic says creators can customize how they look, script behavior with Verse, and animate them.
Publishing date and featuring opportunities
Epic said developers can start building immediately and publish their islands starting July 23. The company also said these islands will be eligible for a new creature-based Collection page, plus additional Discover featuring through Epic’s Picks and a Callout.
