Epic’s latest Fortnite ecosystem update, version 41.10, arrived on June 25, 2026 and adds several new tools for island builders. The headline feature is a Quest API in Verse, which Epic says is available as an experimental feature and lets creators build quest-driven progression that appears in Fortnite’s native quest UI. New tools for UEFN creators
The same release expands Epic’s Star Wars toolkit with droids — over 30 in total — plus a tauntaun variant, and adds Camera Components for Scene Graph, also marked experimental. Epic also lists tappable HUD widgets with cross-device input support, new Synapse Station prefabs, and 71 new bricks for the LEGO Brick Editor. Epic documentation
Why it matters
- Experimental quests could let islands guide players with built-in progression rather than custom workarounds.
- The expanded Star Wars set gives creators more character and prop options for licensed-themed islands.
- New HUD and camera tools broaden the kinds of interface-driven and cinematic experiences possible in UEFN.
Epic also says Lore is now the name for its version control and content storage technology, a naming change it tied to an announcement at Unreal Fest. That suggests the company is continuing to unify the creator workflow around UEFN and its backend tooling. Epic documentation
