The second wave of Fortnite's Bleach collaboration arrives Friday, August 7 — 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET, which is the 00:00 UTC Item Shop rotation on the 8th. Epic teased it in four words on its own channels: *"Don't blink. See you August 7."* iGeeksBlog logged the teaser, and Vice and Insider Gaming have both since run the trailer contents.
The headliners are Yoruichi Shihōin and Kisuke Urahara, both from *Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War* — the same source material as Wave 1, which put Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue and Uryū Ishida in the shop back in December 2025.
What is in the drop
- Yoruichi Outfit — reported at 1,800 V-Bucks, with style variants including a Shunko look.
- Yoruichi Cape Back Bling — 800 V-Bucks.
- Shunryū Kokubyō Senki Arms Pickaxe — 800 V-Bucks.
- Yoruichi Emote — 500 V-Bucks.
- Kisuke Outfit — 1,800 V-Bucks, also with style variants.
- Soul Candy Back Bling — 800 V-Bucks.
- Benihime Pickaxe — 800 V-Bucks.
- A themed Weapon Wrap — 500 V-Bucks.
Treat those numbers as reported, not confirmed. Epic has not published a price list for this drop; the figures come from outlet coverage of the trailer and from Fortnite's standard tier pricing, and Insider Gaming explicitly frames its bundle figure — roughly 3,200 V-Bucks — as an estimate. The individual items sum to considerably more than that, which is normal for a bundle but worth knowing before you budget against it.
The part that is missing
No quests. No limited-time mode. No free reward track. Across all three write-ups of the trailer, none of that is mentioned — and after a season of collabs that shipped with an accompanying mode or a set of free unlockables, its absence is the actual news for anyone planning around the date.
A collab with quests pulls players into Battle Royale for days and gives them a reason to come back each night. A shop-only drop is a single rotation: an audience spike concentrated in the hours right after the shop flips, spent mostly in the lobby and in the modes those players were already in. It moves attention, not routine.
Where it sits in the calendar
August 7 is the second-to-last Friday of Chapter 7 Season 3. The season ends August 19 at 23:00 UTC, and Season 4 — *Override* — starts on the 20th, with a story moment widely expected on Saturday the 15th and the $1,000,000 Reload final at the Esports World Cup running the 19th to the 22nd. In other words, the back half of this month is crowded, and this Friday is one of the last quiet slots in it.
That makes the 7th more useful than it looks. It is a night with elevated traffic and no competing Epic-run event, which is a rare combination this close to a season changeover.
What to do with it
- If you are shipping an island this month, Friday the 7th beats anything in the week of the 17th. After the 15th you are competing with Epic's own calendar for every impression.
- Do not build an anime-themed island for the drop itself. A one-night shop rotation does not sustain a launch, and the players it pulls in are not searching Discover.
- Expect the spike to land in the first two hours after 00:00 UTC on the 8th and to be gone by the next day.
- Wait for Epic before promising quests. Nothing in the trailer coverage promises a mode or a reward track, and a wave-one comparison is not an announcement.
Wave 1 ran for a week in the shop in December and came back on rotation afterwards. If Wave 2 follows the same pattern, missing Friday is not fatal — but the traffic that Friday is a one-off, and that is the part worth planning against.
