Epic, UEFN NPC로 Sidekicks 공개… 퍼블리싱은 7월 23일

Epic은 Fortnite Sidekicks를 이제 UEFN에서 스크립팅 가능한 NPC로 사용할 수 있다고 밝혔으며, Island 퍼블리싱은 7월 23일에 오픈됩니다.

Epic says Fortnite Sidekicks are now available as scriptable NPCs in Unreal Editor for Fortnite, expanding the kinds of creature-focused islands creators can build. The company says creators can start building immediately and publish those islands starting July 23, 2026. Epic’s announcement and Epic support documentation both confirm the change.

What creators can do

Customize Sidekicks’ appearance.
Script behavior with Verse.
Animate them for island experiences.
Bring a player’s own Sidekick into an island, according to Epic.

Epic also says the islands will be eligible for a new creature-based Collection page, plus additional Discover featuring through Epic’s Picks and a Callout. That makes the feature both a content tool and a visibility play for creators. Source.
