ID@Xbox Showcase : creuser un trou devient coopératif le 4 décembre

On October 20, Xbox and IGN ran the ID@Xbox Showcase, a roughly 30-minute stream of independent games with dates running from October 26, 2026 to late 2027. The biggest reveal was A Game About Digging a Hole Together, a four-player sequel to the minimalist hit A Game About Digging a Hole, due December 4. Several of the games shown are not Xbox exclusives, so the dates below matter on other platforms too.

The one-mechanic game, now with friends

According to Game Informer, up to four friends dig a hole on a beach together, unlocking equipment, finding treasure and selling the resources they pull up. The original was a 2025 viral hit built almost entirely on one loop. The sequel arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5 and Switch 2, and Xbox Wire lists it as a Game Pass day-one release on Xbox.

For island makers it is a familiar shape: a single simple action, made into a group activity by adding progression and other players.

What lands in the next three weeks

• Arctic Eggs is out now on Xbox Series X|S.
• Scramble Knights Online, October 26, on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Game Pass on day one.
• Mouthwashing joins Game Pass on October 29 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
• The Wolf Among Us Remastered, October 29 (digital). The showcase's new story trailer gave a first look at Bigby's redesigned werewolf form. Game Informer lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Switch and PC.
• Zero Parades: Director's Cut, November 3, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
• Shrek 2 Remastered, November 10. Aspyr's remaster of the 2004 movie game supports solo play or co-op for up to four, with a photo mode and instant character switching. Pre-orders are open, and Game Pass members get a pre-order discount.

Further out

Most of the rest of the show is dated for 2027. Croak, a hand-drawn platformer about a frog prince who grapples with his tongue, arrives in March 2027 with Game Pass on day one. Magenta Down, a sci-fi survival game on a hostile exoplanet from 2 Ton Studios, the team behind Unto the End, is due in 2027. Rustown has the most precise date of the batch, June 30, 2027.

• Dated windows: Paper Shredder (this winter), Chronoscript: The Endless End (summer 2027), Mr. Records (spring 2027), Love is a Roguelite (fall 2027, world premiere trailer), Graytail (November 2027), VANRAN (early 2027) and Waveling Island (2027).

Dates for indie games tend to move, and a few of the showcase's titles already appear with slightly different windows in Xbox's own recap and in press coverage. Treat anything listed for 2027 as a target rather than a commitment.
