Epic’s 41.10 Fortnite Ecosystem update went live on June 25, 2026, adding an experimental Quest API to Verse and new Scene Graph camera components for UEFN creators. The release notes also say the Star Wars toolkit now includes over 30 droids plus a tauntaun variant. Epic documentation reported the update.
What changed in UEFN
The patch gives creators a way to build quest-driven progression that appears in Fortnite’s native quest UI. It also adds Camera Components that can be attached to entities, switched at runtime, and tuned for body and lens properties from Verse. Epic documentation
- Quest API: experimental Verse support for island quests.
- Scene Graph cameras: experimental programmatic control of player perspective.
- Star Wars toolkit: over 30 droids plus a tauntaun variant.
- UI and content additions: tappable HUD widgets, new Synapse Station prefabs, and 71 new LEGO bricks.
Why it matters for creators
For island builders, the most notable part of the release is that multiple systems moved forward at once: progression, camera control, and content libraries. That combination could make it easier to prototype mission-based islands with more cinematic presentation. Epic documentation
The update also lands less than three weeks before July 23, 2026, when Epic says Sidekicks become publishable as NPCs in UEFN, signaling a busy summer cadence for creator tools. Epic documentation
