Epic’s latest Fortnite ecosystem release, v41.10, landed on June 25, 2026 and adds several creator-facing systems at once. The update introduces an experimental Quest API in Verse, expands the Star Wars toolkit with more than 30 droids, and adds new Camera Components in Scene Graph. Epic’s release notes also say the update includes tappable HUD widgets, new Synapse Station prefabs and galleries, and 71 new LEGO Brick Editor pieces.
What creators can build now
- Quest-driven progression that shows up in Fortnite’s native quest UI.
- NPC and prop-driven sci-fi scenes using the expanded droid set.
- Programmatic camera changes, including mode switching at runtime and body/lens tuning from Verse.
The Quest API is marked experimental, so Epic is positioning it as a new building block rather than a finished workflow. The same notes say the droids include control rigs ready for animation, and some variants allow paint-color edits, which should make them more flexible for combat, hub, and companion-style islands. Why this matters for island analytics
For IslandAtlas readers, v41.10 is notable because it broadens the design space for quest-led maps and cinematic experiences without waiting for a larger platform overhaul. Epic is clearly pushing Fortnite islands toward more game-like progression, more diegetic UI, and more authored camera work. Release notes
