Persona 5 Royal Hits Fortnite's Shop Tonight; Joker Is Also Today's Cup Prize
Joker, Panther and Morgana reach Fortnite's Item Shop at 8 PM ET on September 25. Top finishers in today's solo Persona 5 Royal Cup win Joker free, and the Morgana Sprite has been live since Thursday.

The Persona 5 Royal crossover lands in Fortnite's Item Shop when it rotates at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on Friday, September 25 — 6 PM in Mexico City, and midnight UTC going into Saturday. Atlus has released a crossover trailer for a collaboration that brings three Phantom Thieves into the game: Joker, Ann Takamaki (code name Panther) and Morgana.
Two pieces of the collab are already in the game before the shop opens. A Morgana Sprite arrived in the Thursday, September 24 update, and today Epic runs the Override Series: Persona 5 Royal Cup, a solo tournament whose top finishers get Joker without spending V-Bucks.
The free route: today's Persona 5 Royal Cup
Take their hearts! Compete for a chance to earn Persona 5 Royal cosmetic rewards. Good luck and have fun!
The cup runs as three separate events, all solos: Reload, Zero Build Reload, and a Mobile cup. What each one pays out, as listed in the event rules reported by The Click and Beebom:
- Placement rewards: finish inside your region's cutoff and you unlock the Joker outfit, the Silver Dagger pickaxe, the Shujin Academy Backpack back bling and Joker's Transformation emote.
- Cutoffs vary a lot by region. In the Reload cups, Europe pays out down to the top 1,000 and NA Central to the top 700, while Oceania, Asia and the Middle East stop at the top 100. The Mobile cup is tighter: top 200 in Europe, top 150 in NA Central and top 30 everywhere else.
- A consolation prize below the cutoff: 8 points in Reload or Zero Build Reload (5 in the Mobile cup) earns the Metaverse Navigator emoticon.
- Match limits: up to 12 matches in the Reload cups and up to 8 in the Mobile cup. A Victory Royale is worth 6 points and each elimination 2, counted up to 10 eliminations per match.
- Eligibility: you must be at least 13 (or your country's minimum age) and have multi-factor authentication enabled on your Epic account.
- Sessions roll west through the day. Per the regional schedule compiled by AllThingsHow, the Reload cups start at 08:00 UTC in Oceania, 09:00 in Asia, 15:00 in the Middle East, 17:00 in Europe, 21:00 in Brazil, 23:00 in NA Central (5 PM in Mexico City, 7 PM ET) and 01:00 UTC Saturday in NA West (6 PM PT Friday). Each runs two and a half hours; the Mobile cup starts an hour earlier and lasts 75 minutes. By the time the shop opens, every region outside North America has finished; check your own window in the Compete tab.
What arrives in the shop tonight
Epic has confirmed the date and time, and the cup's own reward list confirms the Joker outfit and his three accessories. The rest of the item-by-item lineup comes from datamined game files reported by Vice and The Click, so treat it as expected rather than final. It is built around two outfits and a companion:
- Joker in his Phantom Thief outfit. His Transformation emote switches him from his Shujin Academy uniform to the Phantom Thief look in the middle of a match.
- Ann Takamaki as Panther, with her own Panther's Showtime emote.
- Morgana as a Sidekick, the companion cosmetic that follows your character around, plus a Morgana Bus vehicle. Persona Central's write-up of the Atlus trailer calls Morgana a backpack instead; the game-file reports list a Sidekick.
- Locker extras including the Silver Dagger and Carmen's Heart Flail pickaxes, the Shujin Academy Backpack and Carmen's Heart back blings, and Joker's Eyes and Panther's Eyes wraps.
Epic has not published prices. Datamined Item Shop data reported by Vice puts each outfit at 1,500 V-Bucks and the Morgana Sidekick at 1,500, with bundle estimates between 2,800 and 3,200 V-Bucks. Treat those numbers as provisional until the shop actually rotates.
The Morgana Sprite is already live
The Sprite came a day early, in the same September 24 update that added the Bounty Hunter Sprite variants Epic had scheduled in its v42.20 Battle Royale notes — combat Sprites that "have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents, leveling up only from eliminations." Morgana is the support pick of the batch: it makes healing items more effective, from a 15% boost at level 1 up to 100% at level 5.
You can pull it from chests in Temple Vaults, get it through Cheat Codes, take it from an opponent who is carrying one, or trade for it with a friend. Unlike the outfits, it is a gameplay item, not a cosmetic you buy.
The rest of the weekend
The v42.20 notes also put a Birthday Sprite in the game from Saturday, September 26 — "Chests have a chance to serve up slices of cake when opened" — and the FNCS Global Championship finals run in Antwerp on September 26 and 27. After that, the calendar turns to Fortnitemares on October 1.
