Epic’s DC Sirens Bring the Heat to Fortnite update went live on July 16, adding a new Bat Cave POI, the Batman Beach Buggy, the Batman Grapnel Gun, and a fresh quest track.
Key event details
- A new Bat Cave POI is now part of Battle Royale.
- Players can use the Batman Beach Buggy and Batman Grapnel Gun.
- Quest rewards include Batman Sprite unlocks plus items such as G’Nort’s Summer Tote Back Bling, the Caped Cooler-sader Pickaxe, and the Zap-brella Glider.
- On July 18, Shiny Hours run from 2 PM to 4 PM ET and again from 9 PM to 11 PM ET.
- During Shiny Hours, all players start with a Batman Grapnel Gun and Self-Revive Device, while Batman Sprite and Beach Buggy spawns increase.
Epic also introduced a new late-game Rift Anomaly called Battle Bus Victory Royale. In affected matches, the Battle Bus rifts to a marked location as the Storm closes in, and at least one teammate has to get aboard before it leaves to count as a win.
Shop and cosmetic timing
Epic says four Gotham City icons — Coastal Catwoman, High Tide Harley, Chlorophyll Ivy, and Beach Bod Batman — arrive in the Shop on July 16 at 8 PM ET, each with LEGO versions, a Pickaxe, and Back Bling. The company describes the set as inspired by DC Comics’ annual swimsuit covers.
