Fortnite's next collaboration is One Piece. Epic confirmed it on Saturday, October 24 with an in-game moment: at 2 PM ET a giant pirate chest on the Chapter 7 Season 4 map opened and played a short cinematic in which the Going Merry, the Straw Hat Pirates' first ship, sails out of fog before a joint Fortnite and One Piece logo, as TechTimes and GuruGamer describe it. The official Fortnite account then posted the trailer with nothing but three straw hat emojis.

The collaboration is tied to Treasure Hunters, a mini-season that starts on November 1, 2026. Epic revealed the name the same day in a separate short teaser showing a treasure map and that date, captioned "The greatest adventure of all!" per TechTimes; Insider Gaming, citing the leaker HYPEX, gives the full title as "TREASURE HUNTERS – The Greatest Adventure of All Time".

Where it sits in the calendar

Treasure Hunters closes out Chapter 7 before the move to Chapter 8. TechTimes lays out the dates: Chapter 7 Season 4 ends October 31, the mini-season runs November 1 to November 30, and Chapter 8 Season 1 begins December 1. Epic has not published a start time for November 1 or a patch schedule for the month.

The reveal had been building for weeks. A One Piece pirate chest was placed on the current map east of Sunken Shores and south of Mega Maze, and on October 6 the official Fortnite account replied to a fan post featuring One Piece, Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man characters with an image of a red ticket dispenser showing the stub "A84", according to TechTimes.

What is confirmed, and what is not

  • Confirmed: a One Piece collaboration, the Going Merry as its centerpiece, and a November 1 start for Treasure Hunters.
  • Anime, not live action: the ship in the teaser matches the anime design rather than the vessel from Netflix's live-action series, and reports note Toei Animation's copyright on related footage. GuruGamer and TechTimes both make the anime comparison.
  • Not confirmed: which characters get skins, what goes into the Item Shop and at what price, whether there are One Piece mechanics such as Devil Fruits, and whether the content arrives on day one or is staged across the month. Sortiraparis notes that Epic has not said whether the One Piece content is live from launch or added later.
  • Speculation: Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Sanji are the names circulating, and one leaker has claimed a two-wave rollout starting with the core Straw Hats. None of that is official.

The pirate-themed teases also carried references to Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto. Insider Gaming reads them as a returning Miku Sprite and a new Teto Sprite; GuruGamer describes them only as references. Epic has confirmed neither.

Not One Piece's first visit

One Piece has appeared in Fortnite once before, though not like this. In September 2023, Netflix, Enthusiast Gaming and Metavision built a Creative map promoting the live-action series: a team deathmatch with no playable skins, per TechTimes. Treasure Hunters is the first time the franchise arrives as an Epic-run collaboration, joining Naruto, Dragon Ball and Jujutsu Kaisen on the list of major Japanese series that have crossed over.

For creators, there is nothing to plan around yet: none of the reports mention UEFN, and Epic has not said where the One Piece content will appear or whether any of it will reach the editor.
